MK-7 shuttles calcium out of your bloodstream and into your bones

  • Supports bone and cardiovascular health
  • Helps strengthen bones and increase bone density levels
  • Aids in calcium absorption
  • Supports optimal calcium utilization
  • Promotes normal blood clotting

Calcium is extremely important for your bones, but presents a little-known yet serious impact on your heart health by collecting on blood vessel walls, reducing vessel flexibility, and negatively impacting circulation and blood pressure.

Supports bone strength and normal blood clotting

The good news is a special, highly absorbable form of vitamin K2 called MK-7 helps by  removing calcium from your bloodstream and shuttling it to your bones, where it’s needed to build strength and durability. Vitamin K2 also promotes proper blood clotting, which is vital for healthy circulation and overall cardiovascular health. And with Healthy Directions’ MK-7, you’re getting the full recommended dose (150 mcg) of K2.

Formulated with the most bioavailable and effective form of K2

If your multivitamin includes vitamin K, it's K1, NOT K2. And even if it is K2, it's highly unlikely that it's the MK-7 form of K2—the most bioavailable and beneficial form for your cardiovascular system and your bones. While K1 is found commonly in leafy vegetables and plays a role in normal blood clotting, only 10% of the vitamin K1 in these foods is absorbed by your body. In addition, K1 does not stay in your body anywhere near as long as K2. And it's only K2 that's been studied for effectively helping to keep calcium out of your blood and arteries.

A full recommended dose for optimal absorption

There are a lot of K2 products available that contain less than 150 mcg of MK-7. Instead, many of these supplements use blends that are actually predominantly MK-4, the cheaper, far less active relative of MK-7. The Healthy Directions MK-7 formula gives you the full recommended dose (150 mcg) of the most effective form of vitamin K2 you need every day to support bone and cardiovascular health.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MK-7 I'm the only person that I (or my doctors) know of who went from extremely serious bone density issues to healthy strong bones and I achieved that with a completely natural vitamin and mineral regimen. It took just two years; I'm 63 now and intend to keep my bones strong and healthy for life. I finally feel safe continuing a high Calcium/Vitamin D regimen now that I've added MK-7 to ensure that the calcium gets to my bones, rather than places that can hurt me. I'm getting automatic monthly shipments and it has become an important piece of my plan to maintain my bone strength.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its topclass.... This is far more superior and very effective supplement. Felt great, lowered B.P quickly and its effect stays for longer time.... do take this in combination of other supplements like to Omega Q plus ..... I personally have high B.P and high cholesterol issues, high calcium levels in blood so I take Adv. B.P support, Omega Q plus with resveratrol, Adv Cholesterol and this Mk-7 too. Check according to your needs what suits u, I think Mk-7 and Omega Q plus should be enough for most....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is What it Is I have been taking "K" for years to help out the "D" and calcium. No harm has come from the practice and the free community bone density test said that my ancient skeleton was really good. I've no broken bones from falls, no stones in my kidneys or gall bladder and I feel as well or better than most people my age. I will not change my usage of supplements because of the above.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MK-7 My blood pressure was lowered, heart murmur is fainter and I believe my blood calcium problem is improving. This was toldto me by my doctor before I told him I was taking MK-7. Hisreply was "It's only a vitamin" I have since changed doctors. The items of Dr. Sinatra that I have been taking have so farbeen helpful and I thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A GOD Send I suffered tremendous [] pain and had 3 back fractures within 18 months. I could not take the normal [conventional medical approach]. MK-7, Vit D, and Forward Gold has done miracles. I [do not suffer] at all. My bones seem to be healthy and strong, as I can do things I was unable to do before.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from mk-7 There is no way i could find out if this product is doing anything unless i had an mri on my heart and arteries and determine how much if any calcium is in my blood vessels or arteries in my heart. i certainly hope it is doing some good. i have been taking them for about a yr or more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MK-7 I have been taken this for over 30 days and it seen to be helping. There are a lot of things to read about osteoporosis and I am doing them. I think when I go back to my doctor for another bone scan which is in 2014 I believe it will be a lot better. I no longer drink milk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, No, Maybe... Conceptually the idea of transporting Calcium to where it can do best by taking MK-7 is attractive. To have empirical proof that it is doing what it claims is an entirely different matter. So, I have no idea if it works or not.

Science and Quality

Vitamin K functions in the body to modify certain proteins that ensure proper calcium utilization in the bones and cardiovascular system, and for proper blood coagulation.

Vitamin K2 is more bioavailable than K1 and has a longer half-life (how long it remains in the bloodstream) which allows for a greater tissue distribution than vitamin K1.  Because of these factors, vitamin K2 is better at promoting a healthy cardiovascular system by optimizing calcium utilization, which in turn keeps calcium in the bones and out of the arteries.

Vitamin K2 also appears to be superior to K1 in maintaining bone mineral density levels because vitamin K2 is better distributed to bone tissue (because of its longer half-life), and it has a strong apoptotic effect on osteoclasts, signaling the cells that break down bone to die naturally. This in turn reduces bone resorption. K2 also promotes proper blood clotting, which is vital for healthy circulation and overall cardiovascular health.

Bone Health

  • In one trial of 344 postmenopausal women, those taking vitamin K2 along with calcium and vitamin D showed no loss of bone strength after 3 years .
  • A controlled clinical trial suggests that vitamin K2 in combination with vitamin D helps increase bone mineral density levels in postmenopausal women.1

Heart Health

  • In the Rotterdam Study, researchers found that those with the highest intake of vitamin K2 exhibited the best cardiovascular health. No such effect was found for those with high vitamin K1 intakes.2
  • A five year follow-up of a population study with more than 4,400 elderly subjects found that those with the highest intakes of vitamin K2 had significantly better cardiovascular health.3
