Winter is prime time to fall off the exercise wagon. But the most effective way of staying on Dr. Whitaker Diabesity Challengetrack, especially when you’re forced to exercise indoors, is distraction.

Riding an exercise bike, using a stair-stepper, or running or walking on a treadmill can be beyond boring. The best way for me to endure 45-60 minutes of these activities is to read, listen to music, or watch TV.

I have a treadmill at home that I work out on most mornings. Very few people can read on a treadmill. Believe me, I’ve tried it and almost killed myself when I flew off the end.

TV, on the other hand, is ideal. If there’s nothing good on the tube, I distract myself by watching movies. I just pop one in and go to town. The treadmill keeps me honest because it forces me to go at a steady rate.

If you don’t have exercise equipment at home, most workout facilities are now equipped with TVs.

I hope this information helps you as you continue your weight loss journey. Have another great week and a blessed Thanksgiving and keep up with the program…it works!
