On Monday, I shared some safe grilling secrets for meals that are free of carcinogens. Today, as promised, I want to share an easy, delicious, and healthy recipe you can cook up on the barbeque.
This recipe uses ground turkey, instead of ground beef, so it’s more heart healthy—and contains less fat that can drop on the grill. Plus, the heat of the chipotle chilies gives it a lot of flavor. Just one bite and you’ll be hooked!
1 pound lean ground turkey
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1-2 chipotle chilies in adobo sauce, minced (very hot, more or less to taste)
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and blend well. Shape into four patties and grill until cooked through.
