Scientific Support
Researchers divided 38 subjects to either supplementation with 240 mg of Mirtogenol daily, or no treatment at all. Subjects were followed for 6 months. Blood flow in the central retinal artery, ophthalmic artery and posterior ciliary artery all increased in the Mirtogenol group after 3 and 6 months of treatment.1
In a second trial, researchers examined the effect of Mirtogenol (120 mg/day) on intraocular pressure in 79 healthy subjects for 6 months. Similar results were seen with ocular blood flow, with Mirtogenol increasing blood flow.2

Having had one eye removed following neovascular glaucona after radiation plaque therapy for malignant melanoma, I am very careful about my remainig eye. When the ocular pressure increased slightly my Ophthamologist prescribed Lumigan eye drops as a precautionary measure. With his OK, I started taking Ocular Pressure Defense instead and the pressure has not increased any further. At $240 for a bottle of a prescription medicine, this is much more reasonable. (Although insurance did pay most of that) As long as the pressure doesn't increase I will keep on taking it. Thanks for this alternative .
